How to Use Navily

Step-by-step instructions for each feature. Check this page whenever you have questions.

Goal Dialogue — Set Goals & Create a Roadmap

Clarify your "I want to become..." through conversation with the AI Coach, and auto-generate a goal-achievement roadmap. Takes about 3 minutes.

Choose a Category (Step 1)

  1. 1Tap the "Start Learning" button on the dashboard
  2. 2Choose from 12 categories: Programming, AI & Data Science, Languages, Certifications, Business, Marketing, Design, Finance, Healthcare, Education, Creative, and Life Skills
  3. 3AI questions will be optimized based on your chosen category

Answer AI Coach Questions (Step 2)

  1. 1The AI Coach asks about your goals, current level, and how you'll apply skills at work
  2. 2Each question has preset answers (buttons) — just tap to select
  3. 3For more detail, type freely in the text input field

Review and Generate (Step 3)

  1. 1After answering all questions, a confirmation screen appears
  2. 2Review your answers and tap "Edit" to make changes if needed
  3. 3Tap "Generate Roadmap" — AI creates your personalized learning plan
  4. 4Generation takes 1-2 minutes. It will appear on your dashboard when complete

Tip

  • Be specific — "I want to use Python for data analysis at work" produces a more practical roadmap than "I want to learn Python"
  • You can adjust your roadmap later, so feel free to try it out

Bookshelf — Manage Materials

Manage your materials with a 3D bookshelf and list view. Check progress and favorites at a glance.

3D Bookshelf Controls

  1. 1Open from the dashboard or "Bookshelf" in the menu
  2. 2Drag (swipe on mobile) to rotate the bookshelf
  3. 3Tap a book spine to go to the material overview page

List View, Search & Sort

  1. 1Switch to the "List" tab for table format view
  2. 2Search by title or keyword using the search bar
  3. 3Sort by: Recently added / Progress / Title / Favorites

Favorites

  1. 1Tap the star icon on a book to add it to favorites
  2. 2Materials being generated by AI show a "Generating" badge

Learning with Materials

Learn with AI-generated personalized materials through text and audio.

Opening a Material

  1. 1Select a material from the bookshelf, dashboard, or marketplace
  2. 2View the chapter list on the material overview page
  3. 3Tap a chapter to start learning

Recording Progress

  1. 1After reading a chapter, tap the "Complete" button
  2. 2Take quizzes to check your understanding
  3. 3Progress is calculated automatically and reflected on the dashboard

Listening to Audio Explanations

  1. 1Each chapter includes AI-generated audio explanations
  2. 2Play, pause, and seek with the audio player
  3. 3Choose from 5 tutors with different voice styles
  4. 4Perfect for commute learning or multitasking

Highlights & Notes

  1. 1Select text to add a highlight (marker)
  2. 2Choose from 4 colors. Add notes too
  3. 3View all highlights from the "Highlights" tab on the material overview page

Tip

  • "Today's Focus" (top of dashboard) shows materials you should study today
  • Materials due for review appear automatically via spaced repetition

Skill Tree — Visualize Your Growth

Your learned skills are visualized as a network. Node size and status show your proficiency at a glance.

Reading the Skill Tree

  1. 1Open from "Skill Tree" in the menu
  2. 2Each node (circle) represents a skill. Colors indicate categories
  3. 3Node states: Acquired / In Progress / Available / AI Suggested
  4. 4Lines between nodes show skill relationships

Controls

  1. 1Drag to move the entire graph
  2. 2Pinch (scroll on PC) to zoom in/out
  3. 3Tap a node to view the detail panel

Tip

  • AI suggests skills to learn next. Create materials directly from suggested nodes

AI Coach — Think Through Goals Together

Unsure about your learning direction? Consult the AI Coach. Through Socratic dialogue, it helps you discover your own insights.

Consult the Coach

  1. 1Open a chat from the "AI Coach" card on the dashboard
  2. 2Discuss goal reviews, what to learn next, or career direction
  3. 3The coach doesn't give answers — it asks questions to help organize your thinking

Check-ins

  1. 1Navily proactively checks in on your learning progress
  2. 2Default: 3 times per week (Tue, Thu, Sat). Adjustable in settings
  3. 3Responding to check-ins helps AI understand your state and make better suggestions

Tip

  • It's OK to be honest — "I don't know what to learn" or "I'm losing motivation" are great starting points

Marketplace — Find Materials

Search and use materials from Navily and the community. Tap "Start Learning" to add to your bookshelf.

Searching Materials

  1. 1Open from the "Marketplace" card on the dashboard or from the menu
  2. 2Filter by keyword search or category
  3. 3Three recommendation sections: "Recommended", "Popular", and "Expand Your Skills"

Using Materials

  1. 1Check the content on the detail page and tap "Start Learning"
  2. 2A copy is added to your bookshelf
  3. 3Study at your own pace

AI Tutor — Resolve Questions in Materials

When you have questions while reading, ask the AI Tutor right away. Answers are contextual to the material content.

Asking from Within a Material

  1. 1Tap the "Ask AI" button below each section in the material viewer
  2. 2A chat drawer opens with contextual answers based on the section content

Asking via Text Selection

  1. 1Select text within a material to show a tooltip
  2. 2Choose "Ask AI" to ask with the selected text as context

Tip

  • Free plan: 15 questions/month. Premium: unlimited
  • The tutor automatically references the section content for accurate answers

  2. 2Premium: Unlimited roadmaps, unlimited AI features, audio explanations, priority generation, weekly reports

How to Upgrade

  1. 1Tap "Subscription" in the menu
  2. 2Tap "Upgrade to Premium" to go to the payment page (Stripe)
  3. 3Credit and debit cards accepted

How to Cancel

  1. 1Open the customer portal from "Manage Plan" on the subscription page
  2. 2Select "Cancel Subscription"
  3. 3After cancellation, Premium features remain until the end of the billing period

Edit Profile

  1. 1Menu → "My Page" → "Edit Profile"
  2. 2Change your display name, bio, and avatar image

Notification Settings

  1. 1My Page → "Settings" → "Notifications" tab
  2. 2Toggle LINE notifications on/off and set check-in frequency
  3. 3Premium users also receive weekly report emails

Certificate

  1. 1Issued when all chapters of a course or roadmap are completed
  2. 2My Page → "Certificates" to view the list
  3. 3Download as PDF or share on social media

Dashboard

  1. 1Home screen after login. Today's Focus shows what to study today
  2. 2Weekly goal progress ring, streak calendar, milestone timeline
  3. 3Also view roadmap list and recent badges
